National History Day Process Paper
Doing the National History Day for the first time, I have truly had a wonderful time. The information that I learned was extraordinary, and having the experience or getting to know how to make a website dring the process was absolutely amazing. I loved my topic, because I was always interested on how unique the cmel was in a way that they could go so long without food or water. People from all types of cultures and religions have used camel caravans as a way of trade and to communicate with other cultures from far distances. They were very useful because they could survive such extreme temperatures.
My very first challenge before I started the project was choosing the topic. I thought of how animals helped people communicate, and in a way that it would interesting to research on. Mrs.Richonne said that if I researched deeply into that topic and spent lots of time on it, I would be able to make it work and make it into something that would be interesting. I decided that I liked that topic because I love animals and I thought that it would be enjoyable to learn about them for my National History Day project.
Almost all of my research has been in the library, with mostly encyclopedias of my source. There were a few books, and also websites. I found that encyclopedias were the most helpful because they contained the most information of what I was looking for. I did find some very useful books and websites that had good pictures and information that really helped with my project. I would like thank my mom for taking me to all those libraries and ploaces to get sources, and also my dad for giving me advice about my website. I would also like to thank Mrs. Mayfield for giving me some sources that would be good for my project, and advice to make my project even better than what it already was.
Now that I had gathered all the information that I needed, it was time to put it all together into a bibliogaphy and get them together to be included in the final presentation. With the information and research, I put it all together all packed into my type of media, which was website. I used Microsoft FrontPage, which my dad installed into my computer, to create my website. I knew I had to be a little creative on the website to make it look good for the final presentation, so I experimented with different color backgrounds, fonts, texts color, etc. After I knew about most of the colors and which ones would work with the different fonts and text colors, I needed to get pictures or maybe even animations that would about complete my presentation other than putting in the information and text. The bibliography would also be included on my website to give credit to those whom have gave me my information. This process paper is also included for viewers.
National History Day is unique, camels are unique, inventions and technology are unique. They are all unique. Without all of those, we would not be so successful as we are today. From the very early prehistoric times to even the future when no one knows what will happen, people will continue to proceed in the thinking of their brilliant minds. What is beyond unique is the way that people have used animals to do their work and help them survive in ancient times. They have used animals to link their cultures, from the Middle East to all over the continent of Africa, and set a example for people in the future.
